competitiveness vs competition?

Could anyone check to see if this sentence is correct?

As a result, I may have less competitiveness compared with those who majored in science.

Welcome to the forum, kallag. It strikes me as an unlikely sentence, in part because I can’t create what must have been said before that justifies this ‘result’. Putting aside all but the grammar, it isn’t usual to avoid the “less x than” comparison formula.

It strikes me as an unlikely sentence, in part because I can’t create what must have been said before that justifies this ‘result’.

Putting aside all but the grammar, it isn’t usual to avoid the “less x than” comparison formula.

It seems this might be a better sentence:

As a result, I may be less competitive than science majors.

This means you have less urge to win. less drive to be better than other people..
I hope you are not going to say this in a job application.

I may be less competitive . . . is not much better.
