Comparison in energy production in 1995 and 2005

The two pie charts indicate how different five kinds of energy were produced in France in the years 1995 and 2005.

Overall, in both years, coal and gas contributed the most to the energy production. Whereas, nuclear and other energy tended to be the least significant part.

Energy from coal accounted for 29.8% in the beginning of the period and went up slowly to 30.3% in 2005.

In the same way, gas which made up 29.6% in 1995 had a slight growth of 0.68%.

In regards of the remaining sectors of energy, there was an approximate 5% growth in production from both nuclear power and other sources to 10.10% and 9.10% respectively. In the contrary, petrol experienced almost 10% decrease from 29.27% to 19.55%.
