On the other hand, teachers in high school teach detailed knowledge step by step because they want to guide attentively. Specifically, teachers in high school need students study hard and memorize all of which are organized by themselves . Because of it , students lack opportunity to think by themselves. Unlike high school , freshmen in higher education learn how to organize and analyze the information by themselves. With the change of teaching methods , freshmen have to adjust learning strategies in university. For example , teachers in high school usually take time to remind me of assignments and date of tests , whereas in university professors offer a syllabus I must discuss and follow it without being reminded about when assignments are due. According to a recent survey , most freshmen in university admitted that they prefer teachers in high school due to conscientiousness , yet the rest of them said that lecturers in university help them mature in their life.
The second significant distinction besides teaching methods is tuition fees. With more investment in state-of-the-art facilities and equipment , intensive training in the field of study , universities have to charge more tuition from the learners. On the contrary public high school , students only have to pay for a small tuition during the school year because almost all curriculum in high school is primarily common knowledge. In particular , students in high school only spend about 1 million VND per year, compared with the university , students pay approximately 20 times the high school’s tuition for university tuition. As a results , students in higher education are entitled to more privileges such as more extracurricular activities, researches, practical experiences, and higher quality study environment. For instance , when I was in high school I lived with my parents in my hometown cost of living is low, and I could buy whatever I wanted without worrying about money, now I moved to another city to study at university , with a higher cost of living, I have to learn how to save money and do a part-time job while attending college. In a research survey of many universities asking about opinion of students’ response to the tuition in university , 62 percent of students participants
said that they change their way of life and do part-time jobs to make a living , 38 percent remaining of them said that they receive the budget from their families.
