Comparison

I want to express that the level of my pleasure to be welcomed in Kenya is equal to the level of hardship to speak Swahili. When I speak Dunglish (Dutch English) I would say:

"As nice as it is to be welcomed to Kenya, as challenging as it is to speak Swahili".

Now I'm struggling to formulate a correct sentence. Is there anyone who can give me an alternative sentence to express that the level of pleasure of being welcomed in Kenya equals the level of hardship to speak Swahili? I know it's like comparing apples and oranges, despite that I still hope to find a nice sentence to make a link between the two!
