comparision

Hi,

Say, in 1980s, the average height of women is about 150 cm, but in 2005, the average height of women is 160cm. In this case do you tend to use "increase" or "rise" to indicate the difference.

e.g. the average height of women has been risen about 10cm since 1980.

Is this correct expression?

Thanks in advance.
