Comparing. Word choice.

Hi there,

This choice of the author in this sentence (B) below puzzles me. I do not object to B, but A seems to be grammatically correct as well. What might be wrong with 'the same as' in this context?

'Remembering facts is not at all .......... remembering how to perform an action.'
