Comparing 2 things with AS
Could you tell me if these sentences with AS are correct?
1 My nails don't hurt as much as when I filed them.
2 That day you would be as happy as when you win money playing cards.
3 I'd make sure his door was open as I didn't want him to get scared while he was sleeping.
4 I just took the test. Now use my scores as a baseline/guide, if the people score lower/less then me, they fail.
IT MEANS OPTIONAL?
5 The day I no longer have the gusbumps when you touch me, (it means) I no longer love you.

In number four, I'd say, "use my score as a reference. FULL STOP! If a person scores lower than I did, he fails."

- I use these jeans as a guide/reference/baseline. If i can no longer fit in them, it means have put on weight. When I fit in them I'm at the perfect weight.

Of the three, I'd use only "reference."
When they fit me perfectly, I'm etc. (You can fit into them when they're too big!)
If I can no longer fit into them

alc24Use X street as a __ so as to make sure the maps are all identically folded.I'd use "guide." "Reference" also comes to mind, but that implies the application of some intelligence. That is to say, something would need to be interpreted, and then applied.
This would not be true with "guide.," in my opinion.
"Identically folded" is fine.
