COMPARED TO vs IN RELATION and SPECIFIED vs SPECIFIC

Could you tell me which you think sounds best and is right?

- What he gives in alimony compared/in relation to what he makes is small.
- What are the chances of winning with 4 cards in relation to 2 cards./rather than 2 cards.
- The timer on the platform only show (when) the next to trains (are pulling in) and the funny thing is the trains get here before the specifed/specific time.

Thank you

What he gives in alimony in relation to what he makes is small. Rather than seems clearer to me: What are the chances of winning with 4 cards in relation to 2 cards.

  • Specific is incorrect in this instance, I believe.
