Compared to or comparing to?

1. Blue is better compare to green

2. Blue is better compared to green

3. Blue is better comparing to green

Which is correct? No. 1 or 2?

And how can I explain that no.3 is not correct. Thanks.

Blue, (as/when it is) compared (by me) to green, is better. It is using the past (passive voice) participle. The participle needs to directly follow the word it modifies.

#1 is not correct because the finite verb (compare) has no subject.
