compare knowledge gained from books with knowledge gained from experience, which one do you think is better?

Hi I am prepapring for my toefl, I wrote an essay, would you please help to correct and score it from 30 . thank you in advance

Question: compare knowledge gained from books with knowledge gained from experience, which one do you think is better?

Many people may hold the opinion that knowledge are most gained from books, while others believe that knowledge comes from experience. As far as I am concerned, I believe knowledge are gained better from experience than books. Only real experience can tell if the knowledge is false or true. The knowledge in books are only theories till they get approved by experiences. I feel this way for two reason, which I will explore in the following essay

To begin with, most of knowledge can not be taught by reading books. There are many illustrations point out that knowledge gained from book are limited.
My experience in learning swimming is a good example of what I mean. When I was a kid, I always wanted to learn how to swim. My mother took me to the public swimming where I had to practice every weekend until I was able to swim by myself. My belief is that this couldn’t be happened just by reading books.

Secondly, recent technological advancements have change the way people live radically. The internet, television are replacing books. People are learning new knowledge from different resources and new practices. Many people get their knowledge from practical experience rather than learning from theories in the book, because only experience can say if the books’ knowledge are wrong or justified.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that knowledge gained from experience are better than knowledge gained from book. This is because knowledge from experience is already tried and approved, not just a theory.
