Which one of the following sentences is correct please?

Presumably you're speaking of the Daikin VRV air conditioning system, and the installation of copper pipes therefor.
"Variable Refrigerant Volume copper piping was finished at the 6th floor."
"The copper piping for Variable Refrigerant Volume was finished at the 6th floor."

I think it sounds better with "the" 6th floor.
Also, "the" (in the second sentence)
