Comparatives lesson plan

I'm currently doing a TEFL course and for my most recent assignment I've written a lesson plan on comparatives for Elementary level students. However I'm struggling to explain the correct target language. Do I need to give examples? I only wrote 'comparative adjectives + than' which in hindsight wasn't enough at all, I have to resubmit the answer but I'm not entirely sure what to put.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Well, an elementary student isn't going to understand 'comparative adjectives + than' without an example or two. And what about comparative adverbs? Shouldn't you teach them at the same time?
