Comparatives and superlatives

Hello.

I'm totally tangled up in that stuff. So, how to say it better: the most fat cats" or "the the most fattest cats"? "The most deep lake" or "the most deepest lake"?

Many thanks!

Thank You, Clive, but if I want to say it using "the most", how would it be? "The most ___ lake/cat"

Hi,

There are various considerations, including the number of syllables in the particular adjective.
