Comparative and superlative adjectives

Dear Sir:

I am writing to ask you to explain some questions to me. Here are the questions:

1. Which is ...........................(useful) thing to own: a computer or a car?

2. Which is ............................(good) team in this season: Manchester United or Liverpool?

I did not understand when I checked the answers to these questions because they are not follow thr rules of comparisons. Please tell me the correct answers.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully,

Sothy Sin
