Comparative

Hi all

Which of the following is correct or more commonly spoken? Or are they both okay?

Both are possible, depending on the context. Naturally, I would say "my broter is 6 inches taller than me". But I can also say "The American team is faster than the Italian's by nearly a mile midway through the race.
