'Comparable or Com'parable?

Can any teacher tell the rigth way to produce the sound of comparable?

Looking at the KK phonetic symbol printed next to this word, its sound is streessed on the first vowel. However, I sometimes hear people produce the sound like com'parable not 'comparable. Which is better? Please advise.

Hi,

I'm Canadian, too. I say COMP ra-bl.

Still, we all manage to understand each other. I guess that's the main thing.

Best wishes, Clive
