'Comparable or Com'parable?

Question

Can any teacher tell the rigth way to produce the sound of comparable?Looking at the KK phonetic symbol printed next to this word, its sound is streessed on the first vowel. However, I sometimes hear people produce the sound like com'parable not 'comparable. Which is better? Please advise.LCChang

Hi, first of all, I'm not a teacher

I think its sound should be stressed on the first vowel. I've used the EZPronounce to verify its pronounciation, and the sound is stressed on the first vowel in all the clip sources (e.g Answers.com, Merriam-Webster.com, etc..) . I would suspect that people produce the sound like comp'parable are not native English speakers.
