After John bought the Canon camera, he was so excited. He felt the camera was so cool that he forgot he was hungry. Then his stomach made noise. He began to feel uncomfortable. Then he only thought about food. He was thinking what kind the food he wanted. He didn't want pizza because he ate it yesterday. Looking on the street to see what kind of the food available, he didn't see any fast food restaurants he liked. His phone was singing when he crossed the street to the subway station. It was his girlfriend calling him to remind him that he had the wedding to go on Saturday. He headed to train station and decide to get off at the next stop to get some Chinese. After all he is Chinese. Chinese like to eat Chinese. His head was kept thinking about beef broccoli. He hadn't eaten it for a long time.
As soon as he was in a Chinese reaturant, he changed his mind. He wanted wonton soup instead because he had to go to work out in two hours. He didn't want to eat too much. He liked the wonton soup very much with mustard. Then he thought about his health. He loved to drink the soup but it was not good for health. Anyway he drank it.

I understand what you meant by "Chinese like to eat Chinese," of course, but it's better to add "food" after "Chinese" if you are writing anything formal.
