'Common Appositives'

(1) My wife Pamela, my sister Debby, and my brother Paul are going on vacation to Myrtle Beach. (I have one wife, one sister and one brother.)

Am I now forced to write it this way to indicate this fact? Looks sloppy as hell.

My wife, Pamela; my sister, Debby; and my brother, Paul, are going on vacation to Myrtle Beach.

(2) I'm going on vacation with my wife, Pamela.
(Do I need a comma before 'Pamela' to indicate she's my only wife? Seems stupid to do so.)

Thanks.
