Commas/Cimicolons

Is this sentence correct?

Once we get out the door, she hops in the car; and stands in my lap to see out the window.

It's OK, except I wouldn't pause after saying the word 'car'.

Hi,

It's called semicolon, not "cimicolon".

The semicolon is unnecessary in your sentence. You have no real reason to stop the sentence

there, so just leave off that semicolon.
