I'm a freelance writer who's recently been reprimanded for my comma usage! I'm trying to clean up my act, but unfortunately I grew up during the era when "whole English" was popular, so no one ever really taught me proper grammar. That's my excuse, anyway. ;-)
So here's my question:
"According to Duke legend, Cameron Indoor Stadium began as a rough sketch on a matchbook cover by then Duke basketball coach, Eddie Cameron."
Comma before Eddie Cameron, or no?
Thanks!

I would put a comma before Eddie.
Comma usage is sometimes a matter of style.
If I would naturally put a pause in a sentence when speaking it, that is the place for a comma.
