Commas and capitalization in quotes

Hi. I would like to know how to punctuate the following sentence correctly. Also, is "nothing" supposed to start with a capital N? Thank you.

This is the sentence:

I want her to avoid a cursory "Nothing," and to respond enthusiastically.
