Commas again

When Kelly screamed 'Get the hell out of here!, she startled her children.

When Sam asked 'How far is it to the Canadian border?', his wife couldn't answer.

Should I put a comma after 'screamed' and 'asked'?

Is the comma correctly placed after 'here!' and 'border?' above?
