Commas

So I am writing a job application and I initially wrote it like this:

"I am seeking immediate work, within a company, that will constantly challenge me; thus providing a platform where I am forced to adapt, and grow as an individual."

I was told to remove the first two commas and place a comma in stead of the semi-colon. Does that seem right?

  • Yes.
  • And you need to remove the last comma as well (the one before "and grow").
