Comma with two items

Hi!
I want to know if a comma should be used in the following sentences:

"The seminar will be led by Dr. X and Dr. Y and will be moderated by Prof. Z".

"I have two courses today: Reading and Writing and Western Civilization".

Should there be a comma before "and"?

Thanks!
