Comma Usage

I'm having trouble finding an answer to the proper use of punctuation for the below. Which version is correct? Would it be correct to have a period and comma after the abbreviation for Street, just a comma, or no comma at all?

1:
Call 800-000-0000 or send your name, address
and a check to Company Name
(Dept. Billing), 40 E. Main St, Newark,
DE 19711.

2:
Call 800-000-0000 or send your name, address
and a check to Company Name
(Dept. Billing), 40 E. Main St., Newark,
DE 19711.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Rich

You can use either, Rich. Many writers now omit the period after abbreviations, particularly when it clutters the line.
