Comma to prevent/avoid confusion?

Hi. Please help. I happen to think the comma in the following sentence is placed to avoid confusion, and it thus is correctly placed. Is it correct to have a comma here?

To live a life that is less than this, is likely to live an unfulfilled life.

No, you cannot place a single comma between Subject and Verb. If you think it is confused, recast your sentence.
