Comma technically needed after the year in this example?

Comma technically needed after '2013' below with this format? Mr Micawber did say in a previous post that the comma is needed after the day of the week, which in this case is 'Saturday'.

On Saturday, 30 March 2013, Ms Fernandez filed a police report with Officer Smith.
