I trying to write something for a report and can't seem to do it in a way that makes sense!! It's driving me nuts! Can someone please help me write this! It's very short and very simple, yet I can't seem to figure out how to do it.
I'm an electronics engineering major. I just got done simulating and building six counters, three synchronous and three asynchronous, each being a MOD-16, a MOD-10, and a MOD-6.
How do I write this properly for a report?
Six counters were simulated and built, three synchronous and three asynchronous; each being a MOD-16, a MOD-10, and a MOD-6. The synchronous counters were built using one protoboard and the asynchronous counters were built using another.
That's what I want to write, but it doesn't seem right to me:( Please help. Also, what's the rules with using numbers when writing? When can I use a actual number versus typing it out?
Thanks.
Say eg Six counters were simulated and then built, three synchronous and three asynchronous comma each being a MOD-16, a MOD-10, and a MOD-6. The synchronous counters were built using one protoboard and the asynchronous ones were built using another. I don't know the term ' protoboard '.

I don't know the term 'protoboard'. Does it need a hyphen?
