I'd like to add a cultural comment.

In N. America, it's not common to address people by their title. Most children would say 'Hello, Miss Smith' to their teacher. In an adult class, adult students would just say 'Hello'.

In my adult class, people say 'Thanks' or 'Thanks, Clive'. I get a lot of 'Thanks, Mr. Clive' and I spend a lot of time explaining that this is not
