Comma or no comma 2

My question is this: "I am requesting a prompt written response, signed and dated." or "I am requesting a prompt written response signed and dated." Thanks in advance!

Hi, Use a comma. You have given us no context. I hope you realize that this sentence can sound rather threatening.

I am trying to settle a debt with an employer before it goes to small claims court. And can you explain the reason for using a comma? Thanks again!

Hi,

The comma reflects a pause before 'signed and dated'. In your context, the pause makes the person you are talking to wonder what is coming next. The result is to give it extra emphasis.

Compare 'a written, signed and dated response', where the three adijectives all have equal importance.
