Comma Or Full Stop

Hello everyone,

Is "full stop" correct before "so"? Or should it be "comma" in the following sentence?

Finding one is harder. So you need the right tools.

Could you please tell me when I have to use a comma and when I have to use a full stop before "so"? I know that we always use "comma" if we use "and so" instead of "so".

Regards,

Joseph

Hello Joseph. There is no need to use a full stop in a sentence like the above. You have two clauses which can be linked by "so" working as a coordinating conjunction.
