Comma needed?

1. I now have more information regarding the project, and would like to relay it to you to see if they're readily available if we were to collaborate.

2. Thank you for your prompt service and as I had said that I would send in my credit card billing statement as soon as I see the amount posted to my statement.

Should I use present perfect or past perfect here? Please give me an educational explanation if possible. Thank you.
