Comma help

This has been bothering me for quite some time already, and i can't figure out how to use a comma properly although i've read countless of english websites on this.

#1 Dependent clause + comma + conjunction + independent clause. Is this possible? I'm sorry i don't really have an explicit example to show you.

#2 I was not playing computer games, i was actually doing my work.

#3 Ok, this gets a little tough to explain without an example. I've seen a couple of times where a comma is used after an independent clause to add meaning to the main sentence. Is that possible?
