Comma before where?

Is a comma necessary before where in the following sentence?

"Is it like it is in the UK where people in London get paid higher wages."

I'm looking at moving to Australia and would like to ask if there are any differences in pay across the country, depending on where you live.

Tom, I would say that,, but there's also a London in Canada. I guess I could say "London, UK".

Actually, I wouldn't say that as I am trying to compare a country with a country, not a country with a city. Also, there wouldn't be any comparison if I wrote what you have suggested. I'm trying to say that in London, people receive higher salaries than people in other parts of the country. I think the question you have suggested, leaves the reader asking "people get higher wages than where?" ( I
