Comma before subordinating conjunction.

Hi, everyone.

This site says that we should not put a comma before a subordinating conjunction. But I found this sentence in which there is a comma before "inasmuch as", which the site adds to the list of subordinate conjunctions.

This made my task easier, inasmuch as it was not necessary for me to make further inquiries.
