Comma before "if"

Hi,

I would really appreacite it if someone could clarify whether there should be a comma before "if" in the sentence below:

Personally I'm quite certain there shouldn't be any punctuation whatsoever in this sentence, but I would really appreaciate it if a native speaker could confirm this this (and preferrably explain why)

Much appreciated

Cheers!

I'm a native speaker of Finnish ([ ]) but I can tell you that no comma is needed in your sentence. A comma is usually not used if a subordinate clause follows the main clause . I'll go there if he asks me.

The independent clause of the sentence contains "not"; therefore, comma is used before "if".

For the sake of clarity, comma is used; however, if the sentence read alike (Please contact us if you have any problem), there is no need of using comma before "if".
