[comma before and] not sure if I should put a comma or not

Dear All,

Could you please tell me if:

1) I should put a comma before 'and' in the highlighted part?
2) Do we say filling in the answers for or in?
3) I used the past perfect tense correctly?
4) Any other chances are necessary?

Dear Team,

I just realized that I failed to meet the deadline of the exam due to time difference. Yesterday at night I started filling in the answers for the final exam, and wanted to continue in the morning, but the access to the exam had been already closed.

Is there any way I can finish the exam? I'd just need 20 minutes to finish it as I had already submitted most of the answers.

If that's not possible, how can I get a chance to improve my score? I'm not really satisfied with my 80%, especially since it was just a matter of time difference...

Hope to hear from you.

Thanks

Dear Team, I have just realized that I failed to meet the deadline for the exam. The reason is that I did not take into account the difference in time zones involved. Last night, I started filling in the answers for the final exam, and I wanted to do the rest in the morning.

Thank you for your corrections sir! They are much appreciated!

The problem is that I'm unable to learn from them because I'm not sure on what grounds those corrections were made. Would you be able to address some of the questions I asked in the previous post? I'd be most grateful!
