Comma

I wonder if "1" and "2" have the same meaning.
If so, I would like to know which sentence is correct among "3" and "4".
1. I felt sorry for myself(,) being home alone on christmas day.
2. I felt sorry for myself as I was home alone on christmas day.
3. I felt sorry for myself being home alone on christmas day.
4. I felt sorry for myself, being home alone on christmas day.

"1" and "2" have approximately the same meaning, yes. I would not use the comma, though I cannot say that using it is absolutely wrong. Note: C hristmas D ay.
