Does anyone know where the commas go in the following sentence: "Thus, I am assured, and can assure you that I have what it takes..."? I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

There are sutuations where commas are generally considerd necessary, and other situations in which commas can often be a matter of personal choice, to reflect the writer's attempts to help the

If you are asking because you want to use this sentence in a cover letter, you may just want to rewrite:

Thus, I can assure you that I am confident that I have what it takes...

(That's just one examle of how you can rewrite.)
