Coming/going

My sister lives in Sidney and I went to Melbourne for a meeting. She asks if I’m going to be in Sidney.

I say: We’re thinking about coming/going back next year for vacation.

Are both okay?

We're thinking about coming back next year for vacation. This sounds okay here considering you are using "coming back" since you think you are in Australia now. (The assumption is you are not living in Australia)
