It most definitely sounds/reads like it to me, for all 3. However, to me the first one just feels wrong for some reason. I guess what it would be is that I find 'going on' to be perfectly acceptable for this particular phrase, while 'coming up on' is more suited to, for example, "He's coming up on a thousand points".
