Coming or coming up?

Hi. Please tell me which is correct for the following example sentences, "coming" or "coming up"? For no. 1, I think the phrase "coming up" is correct. I'm not sure about the other two, though. Please help. Thank you in advance for your help.

1. My exam is coming/coming up,.
2. My birthday is coming/coming up.
3. The school festival is coming/coming up.
