coming on

I wondered for a sec if this was her way of coming on to me, walking around naked for my viewing pleasure.

Is 'coming on' the same as 'hitting on'?
Thanks.

Pete doesn't even realize half the time when girls are hitting on him. come on to someone to try to attract someone romantically or sexually.
