Coming grace

I’m not sure what ‘spend the coming grace on’ means in this example.

“Other governments are going to spend the coming grace trying to find a dignified way to get out of the current situation.”

Thank you.

There's a word missing.

It should be 'the coming grace period'.

A grace period is the time allowed for discussions to take place before a final decision is made.
