comedies exaggerate actions

I'm watching a comedy tv show where, in one scene, you've got people screaming at each other and the person in the other room isn't supposed to hear it and she doesn't hear what is going on in the other room. They do things that are exaggerated and that aren't possible.
Is it understood?

How would you describe that sort of comedy?
Can you say:
A comedy that pushes the limits of the possible. A comedy that exaggerates actions.
Thank you
