Dear Teachers,

1. They ended up taking those children into their care.

- This means "they stopped caring for those children", right?

2. Every morning she often gets her children up and drives them to school.

- "get her children up" means "wake her children up", right?

3. Discussing it will help you come out with a solution.

- "help you come out with a solution" means "help you find a solution", right?

4. It takes the heart of an extremely strong person to do what you are doing.

- What does "take" mean here?

5. I'm a first generation Canadian, and the rest of my family being Mexican.

- I think "are" is better than "being", right?

1. No. They ended up ...means at the end of everything....it means that 'they' eventually were the ones left to take care of the children. Very good question. "they" are the ones that are now caring for the children. Someone else stopped caring for the children.
