Come around the place, lengthy way

This is the short-cut way to reach my house, but usually I come around the other lengthy way to make some time pass.

You don't need to come around to reach X shop. Just walk straight along the road and turn right on the second signal and the third shop down the road is "X" shop.

Why are you coming around to get in the compound? You should have just climbed up the short wall and jumped into the compound.

Please correct my sentence and suggest me better versions too.

Thank you Mister Micawber.

I wonder what we say to mean something like "lengthy/lenghtier way"?

Thanks a lot Mister Micawber again.

Now I wonder what its comparative form of saying. I guess it's "longer way" though. Is it correct?

That would be the comparative, but it wouldn't be used in your sentence; it's just 'the long way'.
