come along, getting yours done

I worked on this for two weeks, and you come along and show me up by getting yours done in half a day.

Could anyone rephrase/explain the sentence?[particularly, I don't understand the highlighed parts though I know the individual word/phrase meaning]

I worked on this (task) for 2 weeks, and then you arrive and embarrass me by doing better, finishing (your similar task) in 12 hours . (But maybe Nona or Yankee or GG or Jim should be responding to this. )

I took two weeks to finish it, but you really showed me up by having it done in half day.
