Mr. B (Morning) : Mr. A, why you not completed the job yesteday before you left the office?

Mr. A : The job didn't come along till I left office.

Is the use of `come along' in this sentence correct? [I wrote the "come along" to mean, "The job didn't reach/appear in the office till I left the office, may be the job came after I left out"
