Exercise was once for certain types of people, that is why they were very specific. I can provide you with many reasons, why people were trying to do things. First of all, some of them were trying to build up their muscles. Secondly, some were trying to slim down. Another reason to do exercise was to get better at sport. In most cases these people were young and characterize in a big strength. Nowdays, exercise has a whole new meaning, because of the doctors, who have discovered aerobic. It is important to mension that this type of physical activity aims at very specific effects. It appears to play an important role in building up key parts of the body. Take the heart or the lungs for example. First of all, exercise requires extertion. Furthermore, it needs to be sustained, what in result must raises the heart rate and hastens respiration. In another words, it has to work out the heart and the lungs. Although it is true, that doing aerobics makes your body working up, but it would be wrong to claim, that it playes important role in building muscles. On the whole, aerobic exercises helps you maintaine a good physical condition. One could argue, that you have to be young and strong to participate in these kind of physical activities, but I believe that age and strength doesn't play any role. It is important to mension that doing aerobic exercises, you are provoking whole body to do a physical exertion. I would like to add, that thinking that these kind of exercises have an affect on your beauty or strength may sometimes be true, but most of all it has a deep affect on your overoll health and endurance. Moreover, everything mentioned above comes from inside and not outside your body, so "you look how you feel".
